The success of the Chinese Economy, not forgetting the 2008 Beijing Olympics, has meant a PROPERTY BOOM IN BEIJING.
Beijing, formerly known as Peking, is the capital of the People's Republic of China and, although smaller than Shanghai, is recognised as the political, educational and cultural capital.
The successful bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games has meant an upgrading of the transport system within the capital, Beijing, and improvements to the international airport located just outside Beijing. There are many trains and main roads in and out of the city.
With China's booming economy and trade links (import and export) with the rest of the world, more and more business people and their families are having to relocate to Beijing. Still others are investing in property, residential, commercial and industrial. in Beijing and buying to rent. Obviously, your profile as a buyer will influence the "must haves" of any property, whether you want to buy an office building or a home, a factory or an apartment.
Homes are available to rent or to buy, as are commercial premises. New and re-sale properties are available ranging from modern high density housing in the heart of the centre of Beijing to older villas on the outskirts of Beijing, or even modern replicas of traditional Chinese houses.
It should be remembered that, like the booming economy, property prices in Beijing are also spiralling.
Unless you know the area really well it will be necessary to be guided by recommended local real estate agents and relocation consultants who will be able to advise you on location, schools, hospitals etc as well as the business of finding a property in Beijing.
There are a number of International Schools and a great many universities in Beijing.
Have a look at the climate and weather conditions in China and Beijing.
